As a confessional, Reformed & Presbyterian church, we must not approach worship in the pragmatic manner prevalent in so many evangelical churches. We must not view ourselves as a generation of practical innovators moving the Church forward to ever-greater successes as some of the emergent-type churches of today. We are humble servants of Jesus, exhorted “to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3).
