God has elected certain individuals out of the mass of fallen humanity to receive eternal life, and those so chosen will necessarily come to receive eternal life. The elect are effectually called of God and cannot lose their salvation…ever!

Sanctification is all about connecting what God has done in justifying you as righteous in his sight on one hand…with obedience to Christ in this life on the other. In other words, sanctification is something God does in you and by which you respond in obedience. Sanctification is a verb.

We do have freedom of the will as humans, but this freedom is owned by a corrupted will that can only ever choose to do evil. But in God’s grace we may escape its enslavement and one day in heaven have true free will and choice.
