Sanctification is all about connecting what God has done in justifying you as righteous in his sight on one hand…with obedience to Christ in this life on the other. In other words, sanctification is something God does in you and by which you respond in obedience. Sanctification is a verb.

Justification is an act of God’s free grace, wherein he pardons all our sins, and accepts us as righteous in his sight, only for the righteousness of Christ imputed to us, and received by faith alone.
