Passage: Luke 22:7-30
In the Lord’s Supper, GOD is inviting us INTO HIS PRESENCE; to HIS table, to SHARE A MEAL with him. When we RECEIVE his invitation and EAT AND DRINK this MEAL with him, we’re CONNECTING with him. We’re RECEIVING from him what we DESPERATELY need. The Lord’s Supper is all about the RELATIONSHIP between God and his people. Every time we partake it’s a past remembrance of THANKSGIVING, a present CELEBRATION of shared friendship and a future ANTICIPATION of the feast to come in God’s heavenly house.
